Taking a break from my own massive incompetence and ineptitudes...

It's like Zen really - the transcendence you achieve when you realize that most doctors are more concerned with not appearing stupid than with patient welfare per se.

You wade through the wards, feeling like a little boy at a parade where every one is naked (The Emperor's New Mardi Gras) but any attempt to blow the whistle on the proceedings is met with a gentle tap on the wrist and the recrimination "Yes let's move away from the obvious and consider the signs in relation to the presenting complaint."

After all, what is the sound of one idiot talking?
